About the Role
Position: Structural Engineer – Mid‑Level
Location: Pune
Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering (master’s preferred)
Experience: 4–5 years in structural analysis or design
Reports to: Lead Structural Engineer
Role Overview
The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis and design of carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless‑steel components for industrial structures. The role involves developing and validating finite element models, preparing calculation packages, and ensuring compliance with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct structural analysis and design for industrial components and assemblies.
Develop and validate 3D finite element models (FEM) for static and dynamic analysis.
Perform engineering hand calculations to verify FEA results.
Prepare structural calculation packages and technical reports.
Ensure compliance with AISC, ASCE, IBC, ANSI/AISC 341, and other relevant codes.
Support testing, field inspections, and failure investigations.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Required Skills
Strong understanding of statics, strength of materials, and structural dynamics.
Hands‑on experience with FEA tools such as:
RISA 3D / RISA Connection
STAAD / SAP2000
Abaqus (Simulia) / ANSYS / NASTRAN
Visual Analysis
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and MathCAD (preferred).
Ability to perform and verify engineering hand calculations independently.
Familiarity with ASME / API standards (preferred).
