About the Role
We're looking for a Proposal Engineer to join our client's team in Pune, responsible for preparing and delivering proposal documents — including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, plant layouts, and cost estimations — for Regenerative Thermal Oxidiser, Incinerator, and Solvent Recovery System packages.
In this role, you will develop process concepts and technical solutions based on customer requirements, working closely with the sales and design teams to translate customer enquiries into accurate, high-quality proposals. You'll prepare and follow up on vendor RFQs, review sub-vendor proposals, and maintain departmental documentation standards. You'll also collaborate independently with colleagues across our client's global entities in Germany, China, and the USA, ensuring proposals meet both technical accuracy and applicable industry safety standards.

Requirements
8–12 years of experience in Process/Chemical Engineering, ideally with proposal or technical sales exposure
Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering
Strong understanding of P&ID reading, piping class, and line sizing
Experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and technical/sizing calculations
Working knowledge of HAZOP procedures and their design implications
Familiarity with process instruments (flow meters, gauges, pressure/temperature transmitters, gas analyzers)
Understanding of centrifugal fans, pumps, burners, and scrubbing systems
AutoCAD (basic level), Office 365 — Word, Excel, PowerPoint (proficient level)
Willingness to travel and collaborate across international teams
