About the Role
Backend Developer (Java + SpringBoot) - 5+ years - Noida / Gurugram | Contract: 6 months
We’re seeking a Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to design and build scalable, API-driven backend systems. The role involves developing REST APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI), containerizing with Docker, deploying on Kubernetes (GKE), and integrating with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You’ll collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver cloud-native applications supporting AI/ML and enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Java & Spring Boot
Build/document REST APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI
Containerize apps with Docker & deploy/manage workloads on Kubernetes (GKE)
Integrate with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated workflows
Ensure application security (OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security)
Optimize backend performance, logging, monitoring & troubleshoot production issues
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
5+ years backend development (Java, Spring Boot)
Strong Spring ecosystem knowledge (Boot, MVC, Security, JPA/Hibernate)
REST API development & Swagger documentation
Hands-on Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, ingress)
GCP services experience (GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, IAM)
SQL/database expertise (Postgres/MySQL)
Docker & containerized deployments
CI/CD pipelines & Git workflows
Microservices & distributed systems understanding
Preferred Skills
API-first platform experience / frontend integration (React, Angular)
Event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
Troubleshooting networking, SSL/TLS, IAM in Kubernetes/GCP
Exposure to AI/ML workloads or data pipelines
Education: Bachelors in computer science/engineering (or equivalent experience)
