As a Scheduler, you will be pivotal in managing patient appointments and coordinating healthcare providers' daily schedules during USA business hours. Responsibilities:
Accurately schedule patient appointments using our electronic system.
Coordinate with patients to confirm appointment times, provide pre-visit instructions, and accommodate special requests.
Ensure adherence to scheduling protocols and office policies for efficient patient flow.
Manage and maintain daily schedules for healthcare providers, including doctors and Nurse Practitioners.
Coordinate patient follow-up appointments based on provider availability and patient needs.
Communicate effectively with patients to address inquiries and ensure a positive experience.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to relay scheduling updates and patient information securely.
Maintain accurate records of patient appointments and updates, complying with HIPAA regulations.
Update patient demographic information to maintain data integrity in the scheduling database.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
Proven experience in scheduling or a similar administrative role, preferably in healthcare.
Proficiency in electronic scheduling systems and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) platforms.
Strong organizational skills with effective task prioritization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare operations is highly desirable.
